Rick Emlet

For over 30 years Rick has been an innovative leader in the IT systems and infrastructure industry. His business management background and technical insight has resulted in a history of successful ventures, culminating in the founding of Outer Edge Technology, an infrastructure management company specializing in designing, building, managing, and supporting custom hosted environments, regardless of infrastructure.

Prior to Outer Edge Technology Rick led his own ASP (Application Service Provider) company, Emlet Consulting from 2002-2008. By partnering with hosting companies and strategically guiding CIOs to utilize new cloud services – such as email, office automation and customer specific applications – Rick understood the competitive edge that hosting provided, and offered these applications which improved the delivery of services and greatly reduced the total cost of ownership for his customers.

OPreceding his tenure with Emlet Consulting, Rick was co-owner and Senior Vice President for K Consultants, an information technology consulting firm with over 175 employees that was acquired by Safeguard Scientifics in 2000. Prior to K Consultants, Rick held executive management positions at Chubb Computer Services, Integrated Systems Consulting Group, Checkpoint Systems, and Plumbmaster, Inc.

Jose Almonte

With over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, Jose utilizes his technical and business acumen to lead Outer Edge Technology’s engineering team. With a strong customer focus, Jose has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to understand complex business requirements and leverage technology to provide seamless and long-term solutions.

In his current role, Jose is directly responsible for short and long-term strategic technology planning, management of our cloud infrastructure offerings, facilities management, compliance, and customer support.

Prior to joining Outer Edge, Jose was a corporate vice president at Wilmington Trust Company (M&T Bank). At Wilmington Trust , Jose was responsible for the corporate-wide information technology solutions and global support for for business strategies for growth and efficiency.

Preceding his tenure with Wilmington Trust Company (M&T Bank), Jose was a Senior Consultant with K Consultants (a professional services IT firm) and lead many projects for their customer base. Prior to K Consultants, Jose held technical and project lead positions at Siemens Business Services.
