YOUR PRIVACY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO OUTER EDGE

Outer Edge Technology, LLC (“Outer Edge”) is committed to earning, maintaining and keeping your trust, and adheres to the following Privacy Policy to protect the personal information you provide to Outer Edge.  As used in this Privacy Policy, “Personal Data”, means any information about an identified or identifiable natural person.

Outer Edge understands your concerns about the privacy of data you may submit through the Outer Edge Website (“OET Site”) or provide to us in the course of doing business. This notice provides you information about what type of information is gathered and tracked on the OET Site and in the course of doing business, how the information is used, and with whom the information is shared.

Outer Edge is committed to protecting the Personal Data that it receives. While Outer Edge cannot guarantee the security of Personal Data, Outer Edge has implemented reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Data in Outer Edge’s possession from loss, misappropriation and unauthorized use, access, disclosure and destruction.

Information we collect automatically: When you visit the OET Site, email us, or download our mobile applications, we collect information sent to us by your computer, mobile phone, or other access device—some of which may be deemed Personal Information. The information sent to us may include but is not limited to the following: information about the pages you access, computer IP address, device ID or unique identifier, device type, geo-location information, computer and connection information, mobile network information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from the sites, referral URL, ad information, and standard web log Information and other information. We may also collect anonymous information through our use of cookies and web beacons.

Information you provide to us: We may collect Personal Information, such as your name, address, phone, email and other information that you enter directly onto or in connection with the OET Site. Generally, Personal Information are requested when: (i) Outer Edge customers log into the OET Site for your products and services and (ii) when visitors to the OET Site request certain information about Outer Edge products and services. If you fail to provide the requested Personal Information, you may not be able to access all or portions of the Site or purchase products and services.

Data We Host For Customers: When we host data for customers, we abide by two simple principles:

  • We use, disclose, and otherwise process personal data only to provide the services requested by our customer; and,
  • We maintain robust security to protect it against unauthorized acquisition or use.

Outer Edge’s obligations with respect to personal data for which Outer Edge is a data processor, such as data that Outer Edge hosts for its customers, are further defined in Outer Edge’s agreements with its customers. Personal information obtained from our clients is processed in compliance with the terms and conditions set forth in this Privacy Policy, our client contracts and correspondence and our professional standards.    

Outer Edge recognizes that its commercial customers may also be subject to detailed privacy and information security regulations as a financial institution under the Gramm Leach Bliley Act or as a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. We can readily accommodate legal requirements to ensure appropriate privacy controls, and we enter into additional agreements, such as Business Associate Agreements, when required by applicable law.

Compliance with European Privacy Principles:

EU-U.S. DPF, THE UK EXTENSION TO THE EU-U.S. DPF, AND THE SWISS-U.S. DPF

Outer Edge complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce.  Outer Edge has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (EU-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European Union in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and from the United Kingdom (and Gibraltar) in reliance on the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF.  Outer Edge has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF.  If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles and/or the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern.  To learn more about the Data Privacy Framework (DPF) program, and to view our certification, please visit https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/.

Scope

All personal data that Outer Edge receives either as a data controller or data processor from the EU, UK and/or Switzerland (or accesses from the US in the EU, UK or Switzerland) or from its customers or prospective customers, will be processed pursuant to the applicable Data Privacy Framework. However, Outer Edge often processes customer information as data processor, without knowing the content or origin of such data.

TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Outer Edge collects EU, UK or Swiss Data (i) from individuals who visit our Site, and (ii) from our customers, prospective customers, vendors, contractors and agents, including the following specific types of information:

  • Contact information, including name, address, email address and phone number
  • Professional and employment information; and,
  • Financial information to facilitate the purchase of Outer Edge products and services.

In addition, as you use the OET Site we automatically collect certain information regarding your visit, including information about your equipment, operating system, browsing actions including log data and usage patterns. The information we collect automatically is statistical data. We use this information for internal purposes, including to improve the OET Site. We may use cookies to assist us in collecting this information. A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. You have the ability to delete cookie files from your hard drive at any time or avoid cookies by configuring your browser to reject them or to notify you when a cookie is being placed on your hard drive. You also have a choice regarding the use of cookies when you view the homepage of the OET Site. When prompted, if you opt not to allow the use of cookies, your information won’t be tracked when you visit the OET Site and a single cookie will be used in your browser to remember your preference not to be tracked.

Outer Edge, on its own or through third-party vendors, uses first-party and third-party cookies together for lead generation purposes and to inform, optimize and serve ads based on your past visits to our Site. We also use certain cookies for website functionality.

The OET Site also uses Google Analytics to help us understand, in aggregate, the browsing interests of OET Site visitors. This Google Analytics tool does not reveal to Outer Edge your name. Outer Edge does not combine the information collected through use of Google Analytics with Personal Data. The information received from Google Analytics is used to improve the OET Site and the type of information displayed to visitors of the OET Site so we can better serve those interested in Outer Edge. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to the OET Site by not allowing the use of cookies on the OET Site when prompted.

At any time, while accessing the OET Site, any user may decline participation in any activity that would require active submission of Personal Data (e.g., form fills to obtain white papers). Your decision not to participate will not affect your ability to use any other feature on the OET Site. When choosing to provide Personal Data through the OET Site, you acknowledge that Outer Edge may store, process or transfer your Personal Data outside your country. Purposes of Personal Data Collection and Use

We will use the information you submit (a) to answer your specific inquiry; (b) at your option, to send you additional materials relating to Outer Edge and services that may be of interest to you; (c) in the administration of the OET Site; and (d) as otherwise described in this notice and for general business purposes, including:

  • the delivery of products and services ordered by customers, including administering the delivery of electronic products and services requiring logins and passwords, confirming compliance with licensing terms, and responding to technical queries
  • to perform accounting functions
  • to notify customers and prospective customers of new products and services from Outer Edge and our business partners and for other general marketing purposes, such as advertising
  • Communicating with business partners, vendors, agents and contractors about business matters
  • Analysis of information in order to improve business practices, products and services
  • Conducting related tasks for legitimate business purposes
  • Other purposes disclosed at the time of collection
  • Compliance with legal requirements

Sharing of Personal Data with Third-Parties

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this Site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. Outer Edge does, however, share Personal Data with our subcontractors, business partners and third-party agents and contractors ONLY to the extent required in order to deliver products or services requested by customers, and subject to non-disclosure agreements. Before transferring Personal Data to these third-parties, Outer Edge will obtain assurances from the recipient that it will safeguard Personal Data in a manner consistent with this Privacy Statement and otherwise to support Outer Edge business activities. If Outer Edge learns that a recipient is using or disclosing Personal Data in a manner contrary to this Privacy Statement, Outer Edge will take steps to prevent such use or disclosure.

Outer Edge also may disclose Personal Data as required by law in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. Before making any such disclosure, Outer Edge will, as soon as practical, inform the customer when permitted by law, so the customer may take such actions as it deems necessary to protect the rights of Customer Data Subjects.

Outer Edge’s accountability for personal data that it receives in the United States under the Data Privacy Framework and subsequently transfers to a third party is described in the Data Privacy Framework. In particular, Outer Edge remains responsible and liable under the Data Privacy Framework if third-party agents that it engages to process the personal data on its behalf do so in a manner inconsistent with the Framework, unless Outer Edge proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.

Access to and Correction of Personal Data

Please read this notice carefully to learn how you can verify the accuracy of any Personal Information we have concerning you and how you can request that Outer Edge delete or update your Personal Information. In order to accommodate your information request, we ask you to submit your name, title, company affiliation (if any), mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address in any correspondence to us.

Customers have the right to access and review, correct, amend or delete their Personal Data that Outer Edge holds by contacting Outer Edge. Customers are responsible for providing Outer Edge with accurate and complete Personal Data, and for contacting Outer Edge if correction of such information is required. Outer Edge will cooperate with its customers’ reasonable requests for assistance in permitting Customer Data Subjects to exercise their rights under applicable data protection laws to amend or delete their Personal Data. Please note that, where permitted, we may charge a fee for fulfilling access requests and that we reserve the right to disallow unreasonable requests for access. If a Customer Data Subject’s Personal Data was provided to us by an Outer Edge customer, we may facilitate access to such data by directing the Customer Data Subject to the customer that provided the Personal Data to us.

  • Opt out of any future contacts from us
  • See what information we have about you, if any
  • Change, correct, or request that we delete any Personal Data we have about you
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your Personal Data

Recourse (Dispute Resolution), Enforcement and Liability

In compliance with the Data Privacy Framework, Outer Edge commits to resolve complaints about your privacy and our collection or use of your personal information transferred to the United States pursuant to Data Privacy Framework. European Union, UK and Swiss individuals with Data Privacy Framework inquiries or complaints should first contact Outer Edge by letter addressed to:

In compliance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF), Outer Edge commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information transferred to the U.S. pursuant to the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF. EU, UK, and Swiss individuals with inquiries or complaints should first contact Outer Edge via email at Privacy@OuterEdge.biz. 

Outer Edge has further committed to refer unresolved DPF Principles-related complaints to a U.S.-based independent dispute resolution mechanism, BBB NATIONAL PROGRAMS. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint, or if your complaint is not satisfactorily addressed, please visit www.bbbprograms.org/dpf-complaints for more information and to file a complaint. This service is provided free of charge to you.

With respect to Personal Information received or transferred pursuant to the Data Privacy Framework, Outer Edge is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

Outer Edge also adheres to and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) security law. EU data subjects may contact Privacy@Outeredge.biz or visit  https://outeredge.biz/privacy-center/ to lodge privacy complaints or enforce their GDPR rights for, inter alia, Data Rectification, Data Requests and/or to instruct Outerr Edge to delete their personal information. To the extent that EU data subjects are unable to resolve their privacy complaints after first contacting and attempting to resolve any issues with Outer Edge, EU data subjects may lodge a complain with on of the supervisory authorities identified in the following link: http://ec.europa.eu/justice/article-29/structure/data-protection-authorities/index_en.htm.
